Usage:

Apodur Epoxy Zinc Rich Primer / Apcozinc 306 is recommended as a system primer for steel surfaces in various protective coating systems. With approximately 38% volume solids, it provides a recommended DFT of 35–50 µm per coat and a theoretical coverage of approximately 10.9 m²/litre at 35 µm and 7.6 m²/litre at 50 µm. At 30°C, it dries to surface dry in 30 minutes, becomes hard dry in 12 hours, and reaches full cure in 7 days. The minimum overcoating interval is 12 hours, with a maximum of 1 month provided the surface remains free from corrosion, contamination, and zinc salts.

Applications:

Ideal for providing corrosion protection to blast-cleaned steel surfaces as part of high-performance protective coating systems. Suitable for industrial steel structures and equipment where a zinc-rich primer is required as the foundation of a compatible coating system. It is applied primarily by air spray or airless spray, with brush or roller suitable for touch-up of small areas.
