Usage:
Hempadur Avantguard 550 is recommended as a versatile primer for the long-term protection of steel exposed to severe corrosive environments. With 65 ± 2% volume solids, it provides a recommended DFT of 60 µm and a theoretical spreading rate of approximately 11 m²/litre. It can cure at temperatures down to -10°C and is suitable for application by airless spray, with up to 10% thinning using Hempel’s Thinner 08450.
Applications:
Ideal for industrial steel structures and equipment requiring long-term corrosion protection in severely corrosive environments. It is suitable for coating systems designed for very high atmospheric corrosivity, including C5 Very High environments, and can be overcoated with compatible Hempel systems such as Hempaprime Multi 500 Winter and Hempathane HS 55610.
