Usage:

Epilux 155 HB MIO Coating offers exceptional water impermeability, abrasion resistance, and anticorrosive properties, making it ideal as an intermediate coat in heavy-duty epoxy protective systems. It withstands continuous temperatures up to 93°C and intermittent service up to 120°C, while maintaining excellent weatherability. Recommended dry film thickness is 110–125 µm per coat, giving a theoretical spreading rate of 4.8–5.5 m²/litre. The coating dries to touch in 4 hours, handle dry in 8 hours, hard dry overnight, and achieves full cure in 7 days at 30°C. Overcoating can be done after overnight curing, with an indefinite maximum interval if the surface is clean and uncontaminated.

Applications:

Recommended for use on structural steel, pipelines, conveyors, silos, hoppers, ship loaders, and storage tanks in fertilizer plants, refineries, petrochemicals, marine, and coastal environments. It serves as an effective barrier layer in multi-coat systems, often applied over zinc-rich primers and under epoxy or polyurethane topcoats for maximum corrosion resistance.
