Usage:

Epilux 4 Chemical Resisting Enamel offers superior chemical and mechanical resistance, making it an ideal finishing coat over epoxy primers and intermediates in heavy-duty coating systems. It provides a hard, smooth, and durable finish with outstanding adhesion and barrier protection. The coating withstands continuous exposure to 90°C (dry heat) and 60°C (immersion), with excellent resistance to water, solvents, acids, alkalis, and saline environments. Recommended dry film thickness is 40–50 µm per coat, giving a theoretical spreading rate of 9.5–11.9 m²/litre. It dries to touch within 1–2 hours, hard dries in 12–16 hours, and cures fully in 7 days at 30°C.

Applications:

Recommended as a chemical-resistant topcoat for refineries, chemical plants, fertilizer units, marine structures, storage tanks, and pipelines. It is best used over zinc-rich primers and epoxy intermediates to complete a heavy-duty protective system where chemical, solvent, and abrasion resistance is essential.
