Usage:

Epilux 4 Zinc Rich Primer is designed to deliver galvanic protection to steel substrates, ensuring excellent resistance to corrosion in aggressive industrial, marine, and coastal environments. It provides superior adhesion, abrasion resistance, and durability, making it ideal for use as a primer in heavy-duty protective coating systems. The coating withstands continuous temperatures up to 120°C, and is compatible with a wide range of epoxy and polyurethane intermediates and topcoats. Recommended dry film thickness is 50–75 µm per coat, with a theoretical spreading rate of 7.5–11.3 m²/litre depending on film build and application method. It dries to touch in 30–45 minutes, hard dry in 6–8 hours, and achieves full cure within 7 days at 30°C.

Applications:

Recommended for use on blast-cleaned steel structures, pipelines, bridges, refineries, offshore platforms, storage tanks, and marine vessels. It serves as the first coat in multi-layer epoxy or polyurethane protective systems, providing strong anticorrosive performance in highly aggressive environments.
