Usage:

Epilux 9 HB Phenolic Coating is recommended as an interior tank coating for mild steel and concrete surfaces in refineries, petrochemical plants, and heavy chemical industries. With a recommended DFT of 125–175 µm per coat, it provides a theoretical spreading rate of approximately 3.7–5.2 m²/litre. It dries to touch in 2–3 hours, becomes hard within 10 hours, and requires a minimum curing time of 7 days. The coating offers excellent resistance to alkalis, solvents, salt, and water, very good resistance to acids, and temperature resistance up to 160°C.

Applications:

Ideal for the internal protection of tanks and other structures exposed to sustained immersion in hydrocarbon cargoes and aggressive chemical environments. Suitable for refineries, petrochemical plants, heavy chemical industries, and applications involving mild steel or concrete where high chemical, water, solvent, and abrasion resistance is required.
