Usage:
Hemapdur Mastic 45880 is recommended as a self-primed, surface-tolerant epoxy for steel and concrete substrates, or as an intermediate/topcoat in systems requiring low VOC and high film build. It can be applied directly over zinc silicate primers or metallized surfaces, and is suitable for minor repairs in immersed areas. The coating complies with ISO 12944 C4 High and has EC-type approval for low flame spread performance. It also meets EN1504-2 requirements for the protection of concrete structures. With a recommended DFT of 125 µm per coat (range 100–200 µm), it provides a theoretical spreading rate of 6.4 m²/litre. The product dries to surface in 2.5 hours at 20°C, hard dries in 3.5 hours, and achieves full cure in 7 days. Overcoating intervals range from 6–10 hours minimum depending on conditions, with extended maximum recoatability.
Applications:
Ideal for offshore structures, pipelines, bridges, jetty pilings, refineries, petrochemical units, and concrete protection projects where high film build, low VOC, and surface tolerance are essential. It offers good chemical resistance, withstands dry heat exposure up to 120°C, and delivers reliable long-term barrier protection.
