Usage:

Hempadur 85671 is recommended as an interior lining for tanks, pipelines, and railcars carrying hot water, brine, crude oil, vegetable oils, and other chemicals (refer to Chemical Protection Guide for details). It is also suitable for subsea equipment as corrosion protection under NORSOK System 7C. The coating provides continuous dry/wet service from -196°C up to 205°C, with maximum immersion resistance up to 95°C in water. It meets multiple certifications including WRAS approval for potable water, FDA and EU food contact compliance, NORSOK M-501 requirements, and Aramco SAES-H-101 (APCS 2A, 2B, 2C) standards. Recommended DFT is 100 µm per coat (range 90–175 µm), with a spreading rate of approx. 6.8 m²/litre at 100 µm DFT. The coating dries to touch in 2 hours at 20°C, hard dries in 6.5 hours, and cures fully in 7 days. Minimum overcoating interval is 16 hours at 20°C, with a maximum of 21 days.

Applications:

Widely used in tanks, railcars, pipelines, subsea structures, offshore platforms, refineries, and petrochemical units requiring resistance to high temperatures, aggressive chemicals, and immersion conditions. Approved for potable water and food contact services, it is particularly suited for facilities handling crude oil, brine, hot water, and edible oils.
