Usage:
Hempaprime Core 500 is recommended as a self-primed, surface-tolerant coating system or as an intermediate coat in heavy-duty paint systems where low VOC emissions and high film build are required. With 81 ± 2% volume solids, it provides a recommended DFT of 125 µm and a theoretical spreading rate of approximately 6.5 m²/litre. It can be applied by airless spray, air spray, or brush, and can be applied at surface temperatures down to -10°C.
Applications:
Ideal for industrial steel structures and equipment requiring durable barrier protection in medium to severe atmospheric corrosive environments. Suitable for new construction, maintenance, and heavy-duty coating systems, including applications where high film build, low VOC content, and long-term corrosion protection are important. It can be used as an intermediate or primer within compatible Hempel coating systems and withstands dry exposure temperatures up to 120°C.
