Usage:
Versiline CUI 56990 is recommended for the long-term protection of hot pipework, equipment, and other hot surfaces where corrosion under insulation is a concern. With 76 ± 2% volume solids in the standard metallic dark grey grade, it provides a recommended DFT of 150 µm and a theoretical spreading rate of approximately 5 m²/litre. It can be applied by airless spray, air spray, or brush, and can be applied directly onto hot substrates up to 200°C.
Applications:
Ideal for hot pipework, industrial equipment, pipelines, process units, and other steel structures exposed to extreme temperatures and thermal cycling. Particularly suitable for petrochemical, chemical, power, and process industries where protection against corrosion under insulation and high-temperature oxidation is critical. It can operate from -196°C to 650°C in dry or dry/wet exposure, with Hempel recommending a minimum of -40°C for dry exposure.
