Interseal 670 HS Grey
A low-VOC, high-solids, surface-tolerant epoxy maintenance coating designed for long-term protection of steel in aggressive industrial and marine environments. It provides excellent adhesion to minimally prepared substrates and offers reliable corrosion resistance both in atmospheric and immersion service.
Description
Type:
Two-Pack High-Build Surface Tolerant Epoxy
Volume:
20 Ltrs (Base Part A 17 Ltrs + Curing Agent Part B 3 Ltrs, mixed 5.67:1 by volume)
Category:
Surface Tolerant Epoxy Maintenance Coating
Usage:
Interseal 670HS is formulated for application to a wide variety of substrates including hand-prepared rusty steel, abrasive blast cleaned and hydroblasted steel, and tightly adherent aged coatings. It is suitable for industrial, coastal, marine, and offshore environments where extended durability is required. The product complies with international VOC regulations (114 g/kg EU, 2.00 lb/gal EPA Method 24). With a high volume solids content of 82% ± 3%, it achieves a dry film thickness of 100–250 µm per coat, with a spreading rate of approx. 6.5 m²/litre at 125 µm DFT. It dries to touch in 2–8 hours depending on temperature, hard dries in 6–32 hours, and achieves full cure in 7 days. It is overcoatable with itself or recommended topcoats such as Interthane, Interfine, or Intercryl series.
Applications:
Recommended for use on bridges, offshore platforms, pulp and paper plants, coastal structures, petrochemical facilities, and industrial equipment exposed to highly corrosive environments. It can be used as a maintenance coating, primer, intermediate, or single-coat system, and is compatible with non-skid deck systems when modified with aggregate.
