Usage:
Neropoxy 266 HB MIO is designed as an intermediate coat in high-performance protective systems for mild steel and concrete structures. Formulated with lamellar micaceous iron oxide pigments, it enhances barrier properties and provides superior resistance to corrosion in humid and industrial environments. With volume solids of 66 ± 3%, it delivers a DFT of 65–125 µm per coat (corresponding WFT 98–189 µm), providing a theoretical spreading rate of 5.3–11.0 m²/litre. It dries to touch in 2–3 hours, hard dries in 16–18 hours, and achieves full cure in 7 days. The minimum overcoating interval is 18 hours, and the maximum is 1 month, ensuring consistent performance and adhesion between coats.
Applications:
Recommended as an intermediate coat over epoxy or zinc primers in protective coating systems for structural steel, bridges, storage tanks, refineries, power plants, and other industrial installations exposed to harsh atmospheric and humid environments. It can be top-coated with epoxy or polyurethane finishes for enhanced durability and weather resistance.
