Usage:

Nerosil 118 is recommended for structural steel, pipelines, tank exteriors, bridges, offshore platforms, marine decks, and other structures located above the waterline. With excellent resistance to petroleum products, alcohols, and solvents, it serves as a superior primer when used with compatible topcoats in industrial and marine environments. It provides a dry film thickness (DFT) of 75 μm per coat, with a theoretical coverage of 8 m²/litre. The coating dries to touch within 15–20 minutes and hard dries in 16 hours at 30°C. It has a pot life of 4–6 hours and resists dry heat up to 600°C.

Applications:

Ideal for protecting blast-cleaned steel surfaces in aggressive environments such as offshore platforms, refineries, power plants, and structural steel frameworks.
