Usage:

Protectomastic TIO XL is formulated with epoxy resin, aliphatic amine curing agents, and anticorrosive pigments to provide superior performance on manually prepared or abrasive blast-cleaned steel. It is ideally suited for maintenance painting, delivering low VOC, high flexibility, and excellent adhesion even over aged coatings. The product resists splash and spillage of acids, alkalis, salts, solvents, and water, with outstanding salt and water resistance. It withstands continuous temperatures up to 90°C and intermittent service up to 120°C. Recommended dry film thickness is 100–150 µm per coat, providing a theoretical spreading rate of 5.6–8.4 m²/litre. The coating dries to touch in 2–3 hours, hard dry overnight, and can be recoated after overnight curing, with a maximum recoating interval of 1 week.

Applications:

Recommended for structures, pipelines, equipment exteriors, valves, and ducts in industries with highly corrosive atmospheres and process conditions. It is particularly suitable as a maintenance coating for refineries, chemical plants, marine facilities, and offshore structures. The product forms part of coating systems compliant with ISO 12944-C5 (Industrial/Marine) environments.
