Usage:

Sigmatherm 540 Aluminium is recommended for the internal and external protection of steel surfaces exposed to elevated temperatures. With 45 ± 2% volume solids, it provides a recommended DFT of 25 µm per coat and a theoretical spreading rate of approximately 18.0 m²/litre. It dries to touch in 45 minutes at 20°C, with a minimum overcoating interval of 16 hours. A minimum drying time of 3 days at 20°C should be allowed before exposure to heat, and the coating provides continuous dry heat resistance up to 600°C.

Applications:

Ideal for protecting internal and external steel surfaces exposed to high-temperature industrial environments. Suitable for application over compatible zinc silicate primers and for direct application to suitably prepared stainless steel. It can be used in applications requiring long-term resistance to heat and weathering, including steel structures operating under thermal insulation.
