Usage:
Thinner 870 is colourless and has a specific gravity of approximately 0.80. It is compatible with zinc silicate-based coatings and used to thin such coatings for application by spray, brush, or roller. It also serves as a cleaning agent for tools and equipment used in applications involving zinc silicate paints. The flash point is above 35 °C.
Applications:
Recommended for use where zinc silicate protective coatings are being applied: structural steel, industrial equipment, tanks, pipelines, etc., especially where correct thinning is required to achieve proper film formation and workability. Also used for post-job cleaning of brushes, rollers, spray guns that were used with zinc silicate coatings.
