Usage:
Epilux 4 Zinc Rich Primer is recommended as a priming coat for structural steel, pipelines, tank exteriors, and equipment used in refineries, petrochemical plants, fertilizer and power generation facilities, mining, and bulk handling applications. With a recommended DFT of 25–40 microns per coat, it provides a theoretical spreading rate of approximately 9.5–15.2 m²/litre. It dries to touch in 15–30 minutes, becomes hard in 4–6 hours, and has a curing time of 7 days. The coating offers continuous temperature resistance up to 200°C and intermittent resistance up to 300°C.
Applications:
Ideal for protecting blast-cleaned steel structures and equipment in highly corrosive industrial environments. Suitable for refineries, petrochemical and fertilizer plants, power generation facilities, mining operations, pipelines, tank exteriors, and bulk handling equipment. It can be used as a cold-galvanising system and overcoated with compatible epoxy, chlorinated rubber, or other specified protective coating systems.
