A quick-drying, low-VOC, two-pack high-build epoxy direct-to-metal coating designed to provide both priming and finishing protection on well-prepared mild steel. It offers very good resistance to acids, alkalis, salt, and water, making it suitable for steel structures and equipment exposed to moderate corrosive atmospheric conditions.

Usage:
Epilux HB DTM Coating is recommended for well-prepared mild steel exposed to moderate atmospheric conditions, including equipment and pipeline structures in power plants and steel plants. With 80 ± 4% volume solids, it provides a recommended DFT of 75–200 µm per coat and a theoretical spreading rate of approximately 4.1–10.9 m²/litre per coat. It dries to touch in 45–60 minutes, is handleable in 4–6 hours, and becomes hard in 10–12 hours. The coating offers good weatherability, very good resistance to acids, alkalis, salt, and water, and continuous temperature resistance up to 93°C and intermittent resistance up to 120°C. It is not recommended for immersion service.
Applications:
Ideal for protecting mild steel equipment, pipeline structures, and steel structures in power plants, steel plants, and other industrial environments with moderate atmospheric corrosion. It can be used as a primer-cum-finish coating or as part of a system with compatible epoxy, polyurethane, or synthetic enamel topcoats. Application is suitable by brush or spray.
